Manali! The magic of the Hills

Manali is a beautiful tourist hill spot where tourist comes in flocks for whole year from different parts of India and many other parts of world as well. Manali is popular among tourist for it’s picturesque location, breathtaking beauty and snow clad mountain.  The Town name was adopted from the first Human of the world according to Indian Epics ” Manu” and fondly Known as Manali.

Manali is a Hot tourist spot among traveler across the India. Manalies surrounding mountain scenery lures tourist  year-round. Domestic tourist comes here for Honeymoon and mountain view and foreigners come here for adventures , more commonly to hang around with hippie villages around the town. Manali is situated at the north end of the Kullu valley at the height of 2050 m (6398 ft) in the Himalayas. The Best time to visit the place is during the winter when the snowfall began and the mountain around the town cover with snow. Although tourists arrives form different parts of the country for the whole years as the summer are here pleasant.

Manali is 570 Km from the Dehli, the capital of India. You can reach here by Bus and Air.

Manali is connected with Chandigarh, Shimla, Dharmsala and Mandi via road and you can reach here by taking Volvo buses from the inter state bus terminus of Himachal Pradesh in NEW Delhi  and Chandigarh. The approximate travel time from Delhi to Manali is 14 hours; from Ambala to Manali is 10 hours; from Chandigarh is 08 hours and from Kulu to Manali is 1.5 to 3 hours. Passengers are advised to carry anti vomiting medicines and should be consumed approximately 40 minutes before the bus approaches the mountains.

The nearest airport is Bhuntar, 50 Km from Manali. Kingfisher and Indian airlines operate flight to Kullu from Delhi and Chandigarh. However the service can be irregular and price are high. From airport you can hire taxi to Manali.

Rohtang Pass, at an altitude of 3979 m above see level where it can be cold even in summer. It is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road and provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds.  And it is truely breath taking.

Solang valley is the another charm among many beautiful locations around Manali. Solang valley offers attractions like paragliding and snorkeling. Gorgeous Solang valley is situated 13 Km nothwest of Manali present snow clad mountain and glaciers.

Kothi is a picturesque village at the bottom of Rohtang Pass offer a thrilling view of deep gorge through which the river Beas swiftly races. It is situated at the altitude of 2500 m from the 16 Kms from Manali.
